These new stores, internally being called "trader format" outlets, will measure around 20,000 sqft and will be located within prominent areas in cities and towns. Big-box cash & carry stores operated by the likes of Reliance, Walmart and Metro traditionally measure over 1 lakh sqft and are located in suburbs, owing to high real estate costs in prime areas.
