The biggest drop was in Andhra Pradesh, where sales plunged 90% last month. While sales declined 70% in West Bengal and 65% in Delhi, they fell 44% in Telangana and 33% in Karnataka. The decline was more pronounced in states that had imposed higher taxes, according to industry officials quoting corporation sales data.
